The cloudy material you see in the jar is inulin.

It's considered to be a prebiotic, as it feeds the healthy intestinal flora.

Echinacea root, dandelion root, burdock root, and elecampane root are all good sources of inulin.

However, roots vary depending on when and where they were harvested. Some roots will contain more inulin than others. Some will just not have any detectible inulin at all.

You can leave the cloudy material in your tincture. However, if you want a clear tincture, you can simply run the brew through a paper coffee filter found at any supermarket.
